{EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT}

She/Her

Chello, I’m Nina I am the Executive Assistant and also Kieashia’s Personal Assistant.

I am a typical millennial, I am reliving my best pre/ teen teenage life through my hobbies. I am a crafter, a science geek, and a band geek. I am a mom to 2 amazing Boys Xavier and Sebastien. It’s an amazing journey to parent and also still grow with them.

I’m an open book even though I don’t have the attention span to finish one. Lol.

{DOULA INTERN}

She/Her

While I was completing my undergraduate degree - a social work major and criminal justice minor - I was building years of experience in child care and instruction. Then, I transitioned into community work in Hazelwood and the Hill District, extending myself in areas from a parent support group to food banks to elder assistance. My personal passion is to evoke mutual aid, holistic community empowerment, and a sense that our people can have everything they need, naturally. This includes the newest earthbound and those that give us this life. With this in mind, my personal goal is to infuse social justice and community into the birthing world and will labor to make the connection at Elephant Song Doula Services.

Because I spend a good amount of time in these depths, I keep rhythmic balance in unwinding my soul: comedy, writing, meditation and yoga, sound bowls, and building a never-ending tea collection. I especially enjoy being active with nature hikes, dancing, and camping. If any of these are also interests of yours, be sure to reach out about their possible integration in your experience here."

CHERRELL FULTON

{BIRTH DOULA}

She/Her

Hey everyone! My name is Cherrell Fulton! I am a mother of 2 beautiful children and a sister to many. I am a native of Pittsburgh and I enjoy working within my community. I love to spend time with my children trying new things and creating new experiences. As of now our favorite thing to do together is visiting an amusement park!

I was trained as a Doula and Lactation Counselor in 2019. Since then it has been a pleasure serving mothers and their families. There is so much support to be given and things to change in the world of Maternal and Child health! It is the duty of the village to ensure these changes are made and this is why I am here!! I look forward to working with you and your family!

BROOKE JOHNSTON

{POSTPARTUM DOULA}

She/Her

Hey Everyone, my name is Brooke Johnston. I’m a Full Spectrum Doula & Herbalist. I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter.  Becoming a Doula was one of the  best decisions of my life. I’m able to give back to my community in such a powerful way! Black women deserve a safe birthing experience period!

Did you know Black women are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. In order to inflict change we have to be the change. I’m here to empower, educate, and  enrich the lives of black women.

Thank you.

STERLING GREY-SIMMONS

{VIRTUAL LACTATION EDUCATION}

She/Her

Greetings all ✨

My name is Sterling Grey-Simmons. I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Full Spectrum Doula, and owner of Loyal Lactation.

I’m a wife and a mother to 3 breastfed babies. So in addition to my Breastfeeding Specialist Certification earned in 2016, I also have the lived experience of breastfeeding.

I created an Educational Breastfeeding Coloring Book & a Latched & Loaded Digital Training to be the support and education I wish I’d had when I was embarking on my journey.

It’s important to me to be able to assist clients from before the first latch to the last.

Along with offering my VIRTUAL services, I also offer IN-PERSON education & support to families in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I’d love to work with you and your family to help you meet or surpass your breastfeeding goal.
